25 April and 26 April

Saturday 25 April was my birthday - we went to La Figa and way way way overdo it.

Had pizza, porcini ravioli, half a pizza AND a bottle of wine!

Felt so sick after that - but shiok! Forced myself to do my run. Did 6.8km on 50 minutes.

Sunday 26 April - Knew I should have listened to my body about not running on consecutive days. Only managed about 5km I think on 35 minutes (we were on the heath so cannot calculate accurately) on the heath with Ray. Nearly died ;(

He is simply too fast for me - I know he means well and we've tried so many times, but I think our running styles are too different. Or should I say speed...

Today, I am aching all over, and very lethargic. It's raining and I am ignoring the pile of laundry behind me...

Urgh

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Had a horrible run today. I managed to clock 7.76km in 58mins, but it was PAINFUL - like "I want my mummy" painful. Both the distance and time has fallen back.

I had stitches 10 minutes into the run, ran out of steam at 30mins, and then had a super long break ;(

Okay, so I have a few - possibly legitimate - excuses:

1) I woke up at 3:25am (couldn't sleep) so I am physically tired.
2) It's the time of the month so I feel like crap.
3) I ran twice this week so my legs are wobbly.

Ok, we all have bad days... I must tell myself, we all have bad days.

Just wished it wasn't this soon into the restart programme!

A little farther

Ran yesterday, went a little farther into the Cator Estate, and did a bit more of Greenwich Park.

10 minutes but I did have one more stop/break.

Baby steps, lah. Baby steps...

According to the GMAP pedometer, I did 8.6km...

Running woes

Tuesday: Ran to the Cator Estate in Blackheath, back into the village, through the Heath, into the Park and back home.

Stopped twice to catch my breath. Think it was about 35 minutes. According the GMAP pedometer, this was about 6km.

Today: Same route, stopped a bit later in the run. Still as painful. Just as short.

Am I gonna be ready? I don't even dare to think about improving time. At this rate, I'd be happy to finish the 10k.

GULP!
